Comnet maintains a "cached" database of tour operator inventory. This content is refreshed regularly via uploads directly from the tour operators. When the agent selects "Shopper Plus" from the Navitour menu, he is presented with a screen listing various categories by which he can input the criteria for a charter flight or a packaged holiday. The search takes place on the Comnet database and a result set is presented back to the user. The result set includes various sorting capabilities, hotel pictures and ratings, pricing, airline information and the ability to book RBC insurance. If the agent sees something they like from the result set, he clicks on the tour operator offering the product. We then route directly to the supplier where the screens are populated and pricing and availability are verified. They can then complete the booking as they would from any CRS. Comnet has over 800,000 records in the database.
